To apply for a bursary, you will need your full student reference number and access to your student email account these can be given to you by your tutor upon completion of enrolment.

Here’s how you can apply:

1. Either through your Proportal account which has a link that will take you to Pay My Student (the bursary portal) for you to login using your student email address and password
2. Or you can access the bursary portal directly through Pay My Student website
3. Be sure to select the correct academic year when submitting your application to prevent delays.

COMPLETING THE APPLICATION

1. Evidence
All evidence is required before your application will be processed. Any delay in uploading the correct evidence will delay the processing of your application.

Please ensure you upload your travel evidence in the make a claim section.

2. Bank Details
By law the bursary can only be paid into the student’s bank account, we cannot accept any parent bank details on the application.

Any parent details the application will be returned and delay processing.

3. Signing the form
Students are required to sign the application form, if there is just a parent signature the application will be returned and will delay processing.

PROCESSED APPLICATIONS

All applications go through a 2-stage approval, you will first receive a pre-approval email, please note this does not mean your application has been fully successful, the application is only fully approved when you receive your award letter stating the amount you have been awarded. All correspondence will be sent to your sport student account.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• You will be able to log into your account to check progress of your application.
• If successful, you will be able to see all payments due to you by logging into your account.
• Attendance must be 80% or above to receive payments, anything below this, payment will not be made. (Any queries with attendance must be taken up directly with the course tutor).
• The first payment will be made at the end of October and will be backdated to September according to attendance.
